Job summary

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is seeking an Associate Project Consultant for our Building Technology division in New York. The role focuses on applying engineering principles to building exteriors to improve durability, energy efficiency, and resistance to water intrusion.

You will assist with design, evaluation, and repairs under a licensed engineer. Candidates should have a BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering and 2–5 years of relevant experience, with strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering required.
• 2–5 years of experience, EIT preferred.
• Strong writing and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new design, evaluation, investigation, and repairs for existing buildings.
• Work under the direction of a licensed engineer on building envelope projects.
• Must be able to climb ladders/scaffolds and travel to multiple job sites.
• Demonstrate strong technical foundation and willingness to learn.
