Abacus Group is seeking an Associate, Broker Dealer Reporting to join the Jacksonville, FL office. The role delivers legal entity controller and financial support for regulated entities under U.S.

GAAP and requires close collaboration with Accounting, Legal, Tax and other teams to ensure accurate reporting. The position includes month-end and quarter-end close activities, journal entries for investments and taxes, and coordination of capital transactions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Financial services industry preferred.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly analytical.

Responsabilités

• Deliver legal entity controller and financial support for regulated entities under U.S. GAAP reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Regulatory, Operations, FP&A, and other teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
• Advise on new transactions, entity structure changes, and financial impacts across the business.
• Execute month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries for investments, financing, expenses, intercompany activity, cash, and taxes.
• Coordinate capital transactions, waterfall calculations, and related payment processes.
• Prepare and review quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules for external reporting.
• Administer entity operations, including wire payments, intercompany settlements, invoice processing, and related activities.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, review accruals, resolve discrepancies, and elevate material issues.
• Analyze monthly and quarterly financial results, including balance sheet and P&L variance reporting.
• Enhance processes, controls, and systems while supporting audits and special projects.
