Job summary
WSP is seeking an Associate Bridge Inspection, Structural Engineer to join our Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team in New England with offices in Boston, MA; Worcester, MA; Glastonbury, CT; and Providence, RI. The role blends field and office work, contributing to inspections, load rating prep, and AutoCAD sketching under senior guidance.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop technical skills, and gain exposure to transportation engineering projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering.
- 1–3 years in bridge/tunnel inspection or related work.
- Interest in structures and transportation engineering.
- Willingness to perform field work and travel as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on inspection projects.
- Contribute as a team member on bridge, tunnel, and related inspections.
- Assist in preparation of load ratings and preliminary design calculations.
- Develop plans/sketches using AutoCAD under supervision.
- Support cross-functional project execution and documentation.
