Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System in New York City seeks an Associate Bioinformatician to contribute to data science and genetic epidemiology projects, using machine learning, polygenic testing, and electronic health record–linked biobanks. You will analyze data, perform genetic association and statistical analyses, and support manuscript writing.

You will collaborate with a principal investigator, assist with grant analyses, and help present findings at seminars.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Biological Sciences, Bioinformatics, Computer Sciences, Statistics or related discipline.
• M.S. in related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in research environment; 2-3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and/or leading own research projects (including writing and publishing manuscripts);
• Provide statistical analyses for population and medical genetics, and clinical data science projects, mentored by Dr. Do
• Write and publish for research manuscripts
• Present research at seminars and conferences
• Assist with analyses on other projects in the lab.
• Assist with grants
