Qualifications

• BS in Biological Sciences, Bioinformatics, Computer Sciences, Statistics or related discipline.
• MS in related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a research environment; 2-3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements bioinformatics tools and processes.
• Identifies and resolves technical issues; proposes upgrades to current software.
• Develops projects and works independently on bioinformatics analyses.
• Manages databases; conducts statistical and genomic analyses; supports manuscript/presentation preparation.
• May collaborate with wet-bench biologists and analyze data from microarrays and high-throughput sequencing.
• May perform sequence and structural analyses, data mining, or statistical modeling.
