Associate Attorney - Workers' Compensation Defense

Job Title: Associate Attorney (Workers' Compensation Defense) – Remote (New Jersey)

Location: Remote (Must be licensed to practice in New Jersey)

Experience: 0-5 years

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our Workers' Compensation Defense team. This is a fully remote position based out of New Jersey. While prior defense experience is preferred, we are open to candidates with a background in plaintiff-side workers' compensation who are eager to transition into defense.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of workers' compensation defense cases, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trials
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and opinions
• Provide legal advice and risk assessments to clients
• Manage caseload efficiently while maintaining strong client communication

Requirements:

• 0-5 years of experience in workers' compensation law (defense preferred, but plaintiff experience considered)
• Active New Jersey law license (Required)
• Strong legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
