Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in MO, WI or IL.
• 3–10 years of experience in workers’ compensation defense.
• Strong research and written/oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and summarizing medical records to advocate for clients.
• Drafting motions and attending hearings to represent clients in court.
• Preparing clients for depositions and attending depositions as needed.
• Drafting reports and handling trial and appellate activity as required.
• Responding to discovery requests and drafting related motions.
• Regular court appearances to pursue favorable outcomes for clients.
• Taking and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses.

At QPWB, our Workers’ Compensation Practice Group is composed of seasoned attorneys dedicated to assisting a diverse range of clients, including employers, carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insureds, in the defense of workers’ compensation actions. From initial claims handling through mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal, we provide comprehensive legal representation tailored to the unique needs of each client.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and preparing summaries of medical records to effectively advocate for clients.
• Drafting motions and attending hearings to represent clients in court.
• Preparing clients for depositions and attending depositions as needed.
• Drafting initial reports, interim reports, pre-trial reports, trials, and appellate activity.
• Responding to discovery requests and drafting discovery-related motions.
• Regularly attending court appearances to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
• Taking and defending depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
