Job summary

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer is seeking a licensed Nevada attorney with 3–10 years’ experience in Workers’ Compensation defense. The attorney will handle claims through mediation, arbitration, trial and appeal, delivering vigorous advocacy for clients in court.

Our Workers’ Compensation Practice Group serves employers, carriers, and self-insureds, offering comprehensive representation, strong mentorship, and opportunities for growth within a large, diverse firm.

Qualifications

  • Admitted to the Nevada Bar and licensed to practice in Nevada.
  • 3–10 years of Workers’ Compensation defense experience.
  • Experience defending clients in workers’ compensation actions through mediation, trial, and appeal.

Responsibilities

  • Review medical records summaries to advocate for clients.
  • Draft motions and attend hearings to represent clients in court.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and conduct depositions as needed.
  • Draft initial, interim, pre-trial, trial, and appellate reports and filings.
  • Respond to discovery requests and draft discovery motions.
  • Regularly attend court appearances to obtain favorable outcomes.
  • Take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.

At QPWB, our Workers’ Compensation Practice Group is composed of seasoned attorneys dedicated to assisting a diverse range of clients, including employers, carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insureds, in the defense of workers’ compensation actions. From initial claims handling through mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal, we provide comprehensive legal representation tailored to the unique needs of each client. As an Attorney specializing in Workers’ Compensation, your role will involve:

  • Reviewing and preparing summaries of medical records to effectively advocate for clients.
  • Drafting motions and attending hearings to represent clients in court.
  • Preparing clients for depositions and attending depositions as needed.
  • Drafting initial reports, interim reports, pre-trial reports, trials, and appellate activity.
  • Responding to discovery requests and drafting discovery-related motions.
  • Regularly attending court appearances to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
  • Taking and defending depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
