Job summary

Blitt and Gaines, P.C. is seeking a Contact Us Associate Attorney to work directly with opposing counsel, consumers, and authorized parties.

The role focuses on reviewing and acting on firm communications regarding settlements, gaining insight into the litigation process and firm policies. Key duties include managing the Contact Us spreadsheet and POA inbox, responding to settlements, and documenting interactions in the firm’s CLS system; strong written and oral communication abilities and

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and Missouri Bar admission required; additional state licenses are a plus.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Typing speed of 40 words per minute.
• Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Understanding of applicable Federal and State collection laws.
• Ability to adhere to company and client policies and procedures.
• Courtroom experience is a plus.
• Collections law experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contact Us Spreadsheet management.
• Power of Attorney (POA) email box handling.
• Respond to settlements and pleadings as needed.
• Manage telephonic and written contact with opposing counsel and consumers.
• Accurately document the firm’s system of record (CLS).
• Provide sent and received emails to designated firm staff as required.
