STLLP is seeking a Pennsylvania-barred Associate Attorney for a full-time remote position. Residency in or near Philadelphia is strongly preferred to support court coverage. Travel for court appearances is required.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in gaining practical experience in civil litigation, creditors’ rights, negotiations, and case management within a collaborative, multistate practice.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator who can manage a high-volume caseload, balance competing deadlines, negotiate settlements, and collaborate remotely with attorneys and legal support staff.

Newly admitted and early-career attorneys are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in civil litigation, creditors’ rights, collections, or a law firm environment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-volume caseload with guidance and support from experienced attorneys.
  • Review and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients at court hearings and other legal proceedings in Pennsylvania.
  • Negotiate settlements and other resolutions consistent with client objectives and applicable law.
  • Conduct legal research and remain current on relevant Pennsylvania laws, court rules, and procedures.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, consumers, and colleagues.
  • Monitor case activity and ensure that deadlines, client requirements, and internal procedures are followed.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to move matters forward efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable legal, ethical, and professional requirements.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania and in good standing.
  • Additional bar admissions are a plus.
  • Strong legal research, writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while working remotely.
  • Ability to travel for required court appearances and other proceedings.
  • Prior experience in civil litigation, creditors’ rights, collections, or a law firm environment is preferred but not required.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000–$100,000 annually, commensurate with relevant experience, qualifications, and additional bar admissions. STLLP offers a competitive benefits package, and attorneys are eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus based on performance.
