Qualifications

The Role

• Advise on public and private company mergers, acquisitions, and private equity transactions across key industry sectors
• Draft, review, and negotiate core transaction documents, ancillary agreements, and corporate governance materials
• Support all stages of deal execution, including due diligence, structuring, closing, and post closing matters
• Collaborate directly with clients, partners, and cross office teams in a dynamic, fast paced environment
• Take substantive ownership of workstreams with clear visibility to partners and major institutional clients

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a 2 to 3 year M&A and Private Equity Associate with:

• 2 to 3 years of law firm experience focused on mergers and acquisitions
• Strong grounding in corporate transactional work and drafting of deal documentation
• Membership to the State Bar of New York or clear eligibility to obtain it
• Excellent academic credentials and superior written and oral communication skills
• Motivation to thrive in a fully in office, fast paced environment and collaborate closely with colleagues and clients$235,000 to $260,000 base salary, depending on experience
• Performance based bonus in line with Am Law 100 market practice
