We are seeking a self-starting Associate for our General Liability practice group in our St. Louis, MO office. Successful candidates will possess exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills.

Primary duties include:

• File review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action
• Extensive legal research and drafting of briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
• Achieving an annual billable hour target of 1950 hours
• Representing clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions
• Drafting and responding to discovery requests
• Retaining and collaborating with expert witnesses
• Trial preparation and attendance
• Some travel may be required

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in general liability; experience in other practice areas is a plus
• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in Missouri; other states' admissions are a plus but not required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent research, written, and oral communication skills
• Strong work ethic with the ability to self-manage and work collaboratively
• Prompt responsiveness to emails and phone inquiries
• Excellent client service skills and professional demeanor
