Kirkwood law firm seeks an ambitious full-time associate attorney to join a thriving litigation practice. Ideal candidates for this position will have at least 2 years’ experience in civil litigation but we are ready to consider a superlative candidate with less experience. Candidates should be ready to hit the ground running. Duties include depositions, discovery, and motion practice.

Responsibilities of the position include:

• Litigation support for senior associate attorneys and partners including client relations, discovery and motion practice, research and writing; the right candidate will have the opportunity to work on trials and appeals;
• Effectively manage billable hours;
• Filing various pleadings and memoranda via standard and electronic court filing systems;
• Maintaining client files;
• High attention to detail with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks;
• Contributing to effective client and public relations; and
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to respond to sensitive and/or technical customer situations with a high degree of diplomacy and confidentiality.
