Knight Law Group, LLP, a California litigation firm specializing in Lemon Law, seeks an entry-level Associate Attorney (Attorney I) in Century City, Los Angeles. The role offers exposure to all phases of litigation and a path to develop aggressive trial-ready skills.

The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years of litigation experience, be a California-licensed attorney, and demonstrate a passion for consumer protection. Heavy caseload and collaborative environment expected.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
• 1 year – 5 years of litigation experience; Lemon Law not required.
• Genuine interest in consumer protection and advocacy.
• Willingness to travel within California for court appearances and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and handling written discovery and responses; e-discovery involvement.
• Assist with law & motion, pleadings, and case management conferences.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with Partners and Senior Attorneys to develop discovery-driven litigation strategies.

ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY - ENTRY LEVEL (ATTORNEY I)

Location: Century City

Compensation Range: $120k to $140k

We have a reputation for aggressively representing the interests of our clients—consumers who have unknowingly purchased defective vehicles. Our firm takes pride in vigorously representing our clients and holding automakers to account. With a heavy caseload to handle, Knight Law Group is seeking junior litigation associates to work out of our Century City – Los Angeles, California office.

A successful candidate will have 1 year – 5 years of litigation experience and will demonstrate a desire to serve the public interest by advocating on behalf of California consumers pursuing claims against car manufacturers and car dealers. The position calls for a hardworking, dedicated, and nimble junior interested in working closely with firm Partners and Senior Attorneys, who will aid in the development of aggressive discovery-driven litigation tactics. The successful candidate will also be able to navigate competing priorities and the needs of multiple stakeholders, both internal and firm clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drafting written discovery, review responses and document productions, participating in e-discovery review of documents
• Drafting written discovery responses to written requests served on our consumer clients

Law & Motion Work

• Drafting motions related to written discovery disputes
• Drafting responses to pleading challenges
• Preparing for and participating in oral arguments in various courtrooms relating to discovery disputes, pleading challenges, case management conferences, and ex parte requests

Depositions

• Attending and defending consumer client depositions
• Taking percipient witness depositions

Vehicle Inspections

• Attending vehicle inspections with expert witnesses

Other Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for timely reporting and billing for hours worked
• Further opportunities for a stellar candidate to quickly grow into assisting with dispositive motions, higher-stakes depositions, and trial preparation work
• Assist in other tasks as assigned by the Partners

QUALITIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
• Member in good standing of the California Bar
• At least six (6) months of experience as a California licensed attorney, ideally with some litigation experience (Lemon Law not required)
• Genuine interest in consumer protection and representation
• Hunger for professional growth, with a “no job is too big or too small” mentality
• Collaborative and willing to operate in a team-oriented environment
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred, but not required
• Proficient in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook
• Skilled and decisive problem-solver with the ability to unravel complex issues
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to track and comply with deadlines in a busy and fast-paced environment
• Willing to learn and apply technology solutions and work in a paperless environment
• Willing to travel within California as needed for court appearances, vehicle inspections, and depositions
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
