Job summary

Synectics Inc. in Los Angeles seeks an experienced associate attorney to manage single-plaintiff employment matters from inception through resolution.

You will handle FEHA discrimination, retaliation, harassment, disability accommodation, and wrongful termination, and you will conduct depositions, discovery, and motion practice. The role is primarily on-site in Downtown Los Angeles with the flexibility to work from home one day per week and demands strong research, writing, and negotiation

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership required.
• Prior California employment litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience handling single-plaintiff employment matters.
• Strong understanding of FEHA and California employment law.
• Demonstrated experience with depositions, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to exercise sound litigation judgment and independently manage a caseload.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial-related matters.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the litigation team.
• Independently manage deadlines, caseload, and day-to-day case strategy.
