Ascendion is seeking a mid to senior level creditor's rights attorney to manage cases in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, a JD from an accredited law school, and is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.

Job description

We are working with a multi state litigation firm specializing in real estate, creditor's rights, foreclosures and bankruptcy. They are looking for a mid to senior level creditor's rights attorney to manage cases in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience
• Previous creditors’ rights and/or commercial litigation experience
• Experience handling collections, enforcement, or related matters
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of creditors’ rights matters from intake through resolution
• Represent creditors in collection, enforcement, and related litigation matters
• Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other legal documents
• Handle court appearances, hearings, and settlement negotiations

The annual salary for this position is between $125k-$165k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
