Watts & Associates is assisting a highly regarded Am Law ranked global litigation firm in New York, NY, seeking a mid level Complex Litigation Associate to join the office. The role offers exposure to sophisticated complex commercial disputes with meaningful responsibility from day one.

You will work closely with trial partners and a disputes team, handling discovery, drafting motions, taking depositions, and appearing in court.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of complex litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy.
• New York State Bar membership preferred.

• Salary base: $260,000 to $390,000.

Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law ranked global litigation firm seeking a mid level Complex Litigation Associate to join its New York, NY office.

This role offers direct access to sophisticated complex commercial disputes for major corporate clients, with meaningful responsibility from day one. You will work closely with experienced trial partners and a collaborative disputes team, gaining courtroom exposure, client contact, and a credible platform for long term advancement on an international stage.

The Role

• Manage complex commercial litigation matters from early strategy through resolution
• Handle all aspects of discovery, including written discovery and strategy on document reviewDraft high quality motions, briefs, and memoranda in state and federal courts
• Take and defend depositions, and appear in court, mediations, arbitrations, and at trial
• Work closely with partners and clients, taking substantive ownership and contributing to case strategy

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a mid level Complex Litigation Associate with:

• 3 to 6 years of complex litigation experience in a sophisticated practice
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills for high stakes commercial disputes
• Membership in the New York State Bar strongly preferred
• Strong academic credentials from a law school ranked in the top 50
• Ability to work in the New York office in person 5 days each week
• $260,000 to $390,000 base salary, depending on experience
