Established bankruptcy law firm with offices serving the Charleston, Columbia and Myrtle Beach areas is seeking a talented, highly motivated associate attorney in our Charleston location. Potential candidates must enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with seasoned staff members and other attorneys.Previous bankruptcy experience is not required but is desired.
Associate Attorney will meet with potential new clients to establish a positive and strong working relationship, while providing best-in-class legal, advocacy, and advisory services.Candidate will prepare and file Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases on behalf of debtors, which includes preparing petitions and schedules.Candidate will also create and implement strategic, operational and tactical initiatives that support key business objectives; therefore, this role requires an attorney with strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills. Must be adaptable and quick to learn and work with a sense of urgency.Must be able to meet strict deadlines.
Additionally, candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on attention to detail. Associate Attorney will approve/draft pleadings, proactively review, analyze and interpret data, meet with clients, and attend hearings in the bankruptcy courts in Columbia and Charleston, SC.Occasional travel to our other offices in Columbia and Myrtle Beach is required.
