Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and NC Bar membership are required.
• Experience in real property law or foreclosure is preferred.
• Ability to work remotely with strong self-management and communication.
• Strong written and verbal communication and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in all stages of foreclosure and real estate litigation.
• Review conditions precedent to filing, including loan documents and demand letters.
• Perform comprehensive title reviews and correct title defects.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and correspondence to initiate and maintain foreclosure actions.
• Conduct legal research and analysis of statutes, case law, regulatory and servicing requirements.
• Attend court hearings and communicate with opposing counsel.
• Maintain internal client systems with findings, documentation, and recommendations.
• Prioritize and manage a high-volume workload to meet deadlines and client needs.
• Ensure compliance with foreclosure, bankruptcy, and related rules.

Robertson, Anschutz, Schneid, Crane & Partners, PLLC is national law firm that provides full-service creditors’ rights and real estate legal services at both the state and federal level in 18 states. RAS is seeking a North Carolina licensed attorney with some real property law experience to work remotely.

RAS is seeking a candidate with strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines, exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and produce accurate and high-quality work product in a fast-paced volume-based environment. The candidate must be able to work independently and possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is required. Admission to federal and bankruptcy courts in North Carolina is a plus as is prior foreclosure experience.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and includes our benefits package. We are looking to hire a candidate with the aforementioned bar memberships who is located within North Carolina.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in all stages of the foreclosure process, including contested foreclosures and real estate litigation.
• Comprehensive review of all conditions precedent to filing of the action, including review of loan documents, financials, and demand letters
• Conduct comprehensive title reviews to identify title defects, missing links in chain of title, or encumbrances, and execute necessary corrective legal actions.
• Draft and review legal documents, pleadings and correspondence to initiate and maintain foreclosure actions
• Research and analysis of applicable statutes, case law, regulatory, and servicing requirements
• Legal research and writing
• Attend court hearings and communicate with opposing counsel
• Ensure all internal client systems are reviewed and updated to include findings, documentation, and recommendations
• Exercise a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
• Prioritize and perform a high volume of work to meet firm, client, investor, and court deadlines
• Utilize firm and client systems to ensure all applicable deadlines are met
• Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements, as applicable

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Demonstrate experience in title review and the ability to analyze corrective title action opportunities.
• Intermediate to advanced-level computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office products) and general office skills
• Previous experience with electronic case management and client systems preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively communicate through both verbal and written electronic correspondence
• Demonstrate an excellent ability to analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations
• Meticulous analytical skills and attention to detail
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
