Associate Attorney – Construction Litigation / Insurance Defense

A well-established national law firm with a strong focus on insurance coverage and litigation defense is seeking an Associate Attorney with 4+ years of experience in construction litigation and insurance defense to join its New York office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced litigator to handle high-exposure matters in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of litigation involving construction-related claims and general insurance defense
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and discovery motions
• Prepare and take depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and develop strategic case approaches
• Work closely with clients, claims professionals, and senior attorneys
• Handle a full caseload independently with support from a team of experienced litigators

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school
• 4+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on construction and insurance defense
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and effectively prioritize caseloads
• Competitive salary expected in the range of $120,000 – $145,000.
