Job description

• Represent clients in District, Circuit, and occasional Federal courts throughout Kentucky.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, memorandums, and other court filings.
• Negotiate plea deals and settlements with prosecutors.
• Attend and conduct preliminary hearings, suppression hearings, and jury trials (as applicable).
• Communicate effectively with clients, maintaining strong relationships and high satisfaction.

Qualifications :

• Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
• Strong communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated interest in or experience with criminal law.
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently across Kentucky.
• Prior experience in criminal defense or prosecution is preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits :

• Competitive salary range : $76,000 - $94,000, based on experience.
• Higher base salary offered for candidates with prior criminal law experience.
• Mileage reimbursement at the Commonwealth's rate.
• Daily court exposure, including Zoom and in-person hearings.
