Role Description

The Associate Attorney will handle Workers’ Compensation Defense matters on a day-to-day basis, including case evaluation, legal research, drafting pleadings and correspondence, and preparing discovery. Responsibilities include appearing at hearings, depositions, and settlement conferences, as well as advising clients on case strategy and risk management. The role involves negotiating settlements, collaborating closely with clients and internal team members, and maintaining organized case files to ensure timely progression of claims. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA, requiring regular interaction with clients, co-counsel, and administrative staff.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law with specific experience or interest in Workers’ Compensation and Labor and Employment Law.
• Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to employers, carriers, and administrators.
• Proficiency in legal Research, including case law, statutes, and administrative regulations.
• Effective Negotiation skills for settlements, claim resolutions, and client advocacy.
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 1–3 years of relevant litigation or workers’ compensation experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including drafting pleadings, briefs, and client communications.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
