We are seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney to join a growing California workers’ compensation defense practice. The attorney will independently manage a caseload involving employers, insurance carriers, third party administrators, and self-insured entities throughout California.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage workers’ compensation defense matters from initial file review through settlement, trial, and appeals
- Develop and execute case strategies based on client objectives
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Handle discovery, pleadings, motions, and WCAB proceedings
- Evaluate liability, exposure, and case strategy
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients at hearings and trials
- Communicate with clients, claims professionals, opposing counsel, physicians, and other stakeholders
- Maintain an organized caseload and ensure timely case progression
- Provide effective legal advice and strategic defense recommendations
Qualifications
- Experience handling California workers’ compensation defense matters
- Ability to independently manage cases and an active caseload
- Strong knowledge of WCAB procedures and workers’ compensation litigation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and case management abilities
