Workers' Comp Attorney

Full-time role in Los Angeles Metro (multiple offices with remote opportunities)

Salary: $100,000–$220,000 annually with quarterly bonuses

We’re seeking a skilled Workers' Compensation Attorney with a Bachelor’s, Juris Doctor, and California Bar membership. You’ll need strong research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, plus a proactive approach to case management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution, including discovery, litigation, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with insurance companies, employers, and third-party administrators to strategize case outcomes.
• Evaluate claims to determine compensability, assess medical evidence, and calculate benefits owed under California workers' compensation laws.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB).
• Draft and file legal documents, such as petitions, motions, and responses, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Advise clients on risk management, workplace safety policies, and strategies to minimize future claims.
• Conduct depositions of medical experts, witnesses, and claimants to build robust case defenses.
• Negotiate settlements to balance cost efficiency with fair resolution for all parties involved.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, Juris Doctor, and active California Bar membership in good standing.
• Proven ability to handle complex cases with superior research, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication for client counsel and courtroom advocacy.
• Commitment to proactive case management and timely resolution.
