Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Managing and Senior Attorneys on case evaluation and strategy.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
  • Maintain thorough and organized case files throughout each matter.
  • Track performance metrics to gauge outcomes and client satisfaction.

Salary: 83,000.00 per year + trial incentives

Position Type: Full-time (in office)

Our law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join our team. We are looking to hire an attorney currently licensed in TX who is interested in trying cases helping to build out breach-of-warranty and DTPA dockets. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for identifying quality cases, signing contracts for those cases, and managing qualified cases through pre-litigation, mediation, settlement, and/or trial as needed. The candidate will work closely with the managing and senior attorney(s) to keep them abreast of case developments and participate in weekly meetings. This role has a strong focus on client interaction, so the ideal candidate will be personable and enjoy talking to people. Overall, this candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be a creative and strategic thinker capable of persuasive speaking, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide superior representation of all clients.
  • Review purchase documents, repair records, warranties, and other supporting materials to evaluate potential breach of warranty and DTPA claims .
  • Communicate directly with prospective new clients, primarily by phone, to discuss their claims, answer questions, explain the legal process, build trust, and secure signed representation agreements.
  • Manage cases through litigation while maintaining regular communication with clients.
  • Collaborate closely with the Managing and Senior Attorneys regarding case evaluation, strategy, and department growth.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
  • Maintain thorough and organized case files throughout the life of each matter.
  • Manage performance metrics to track accomplishments and client satisfaction.
Qualifications include someone who:
  • Holds a law degree from an accredited law school.
  • Is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas (passing the Uniform Bar Exam is a plus).
  • Is an active member in good standing with the applicable state bar.
  • Has 2-3 years of legal experience with a plaintiffs firm (preferred but not required).
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Has technical skills and can quickly learn new programs.
  • Is personable, confident, and empathetic when working with clients.
  • Thinks creatively and strategically when evaluating potential claims.
  • Can analyze facts, documentation, and repair histories to identify quality claims.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Values defined processes and procedures that lead to guaranteed results.
