Job summary

LHH is assisting a Chambers-ranked Chicago law firm in its search for an Associate Attorney to join its Commercial Litigation practice group. The role focuses on complex class actions and commercial litigation, with responsibilities including managing caseload, discovery, drafting documents, depositions, and trial prep.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of litigation experience, strong academics, and the ability to advance cases independently. Illinois bar admission (or waivable) is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation experience (commercial or class action preferred).
• Strong academic credentials.
• Ability to move cases forward independently.
• Illinois admission (or ability to waive in).

The Opportunity

• Class Action specialty
• Managing case load and discovery, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, taking/defending depositions, and pre-trial and trial preparation
• Flexible hybrid policy (8 days a month)

Ideal Background

• 3+ years of litigation experience (ideally doing sophisticated commercial or class action work)
• Strong academic credentials
• Ability to move cases forward on their own
• Must be admitted to practice in Illinois (or able to waive in)
