Partners Legal Search is assisting a premier AmLaw 100 firm in identifying an Associate Attorney with 3–6 years of civil litigation experience in California, focusing on Lemon Law / Song-Beverly matters. The role supports a growing San Diego office and is open to candidates from Los Angeles or Torrance who can work in a hybrid, national litigation environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Active membership in the California State Bar.
• 3 to 6 years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience defending claims under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act is strongly preferred.
• Defense-side experience representing manufacturers, automotive companies, dealerships, insurers, and other corporate clients.
• Proven deposition experience and strong motion-writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Trial preparation experience is required; actual courtroom and trial experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of litigation in state and federal courts.
• Manage cases under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and related consumer litigation matters.
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions.
• Conduct written discovery, take and defend depositions, and manage e-discovery.
• Prepare witnesses and corporate representatives for deposition and trial.
• Participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and strategic case evaluations.
• Collaborate seamlessly with attorneys across the firm's national litigation platform.

Associate Attorney (3–6 Years Experience) – Civil Litigation & Lemon Law

Location: San Diego, CA (open to Los Angeles, CA, or Torrance, CA)

We are partnering with a premier AmLaw 100 firm to identify a talented and driven Associate Attorney with 3 to 6 years of experience to join their growing litigation team in San Diego. This is an exciting opportunity for lawyers who have developed a strong foundation in California civil litigation and have prior experience defending manufacturers, distributors, dealerships, or other corporate clients in matters arising under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (California Lemon Law). While the firm is actively seeking local candidates for the San Diego office, they are also open to candidates from the greater Los Angeles area who can work out of their Downtown LA or Torrance offices.

As a member of our client's nationally recognized litigation practice, you will work alongside skilled trial lawyers representing sophisticated clients in high-exposure matters.
