A highly respected law firm specializing in workers’ compensation defense is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its team in Atlanta. This position offers the opportunity to represent employers and insurance companies throughout Georgia in workers’ compensation matters. Ideal for recent graduates or attorneys with up to three years of experience, this role provides early hands-on case responsibility and active professional development support.

Duties

1. Manage claims from inception through resolution with limited partner supervision
2. Take and defend depositions of claimants, witnesses, and medical experts
3. Draft client report letters, motions, and post-trial briefs
4. Develop strategic plans for efficient case resolution
5. Represent clients at mediations and workers' compensation trials

Requirements

• 0–3 years of legal experience (workers’ compensation experience preferred, but not required)
• Strong interest in litigation and workers’ compensation defense
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently
• Excellent organizational and case management skills
• Strong commitment to client service and professional development

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

Admission to practice law in the State of Georgia (or eligibility to become admitted promptly)
