Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated's Hubbell Utility Solutions is seeking an Associate Application Engineer in the United States (SC). You will support the Arrester Business Unit with technical and commercial input, translating customer needs into cost-effective surge arrester solutions and contributing to product development and training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
  • Experience in applications or design engineering in power/utilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer interfacing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret customer specs to recommend surge arrester offerings.
  • Provide technical support to sales, marketing, and customers for product lines.
  • Prepare drawings, datasheets, and application notes.
  • Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting with design and quality teams.
  • Attend customer meetings, site visits, and deliver technical training.
  • Stay current with IEEE/IEC/ANSI standards and internal compliance.
