Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a logistics professional to work with IT and Operations to design and develop global freight plans. The role will handle domestic and international shipments, maintain documentation, and develop reports to optimize freight solutions for customers worldwide.

Responsibilities include creating, implementing, and enforcing transportation policies, completing special projects, and delivering daily freight solutions to global clients, leveraging TMS/WMS systems and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• 1 year of global logistics management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of domestic and international transportation modes.
• Understanding of transportation mode costs and transit times.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• 1 year of experience in global logistics management (preferred)
• Knowledge of all modes of domestic and international transportation
• Understanding of comparative differences between transportation modes and their effects
• Understanding of TMS, WMS and manifesting software as related to logistics applications
• Thorough knowledge of logistics-related documentation, including bill of lading, standard claims forms, MSDS, commercial invoice, Shipper’s Letter of Instruction, and export filing
• Understanding of concepts affecting transportation costs and transit times, seasonal capacity, air/ocean, transit time requirements, freight handling characteristics, and priority/expedited shipments
• May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Must comply with GXO COVID safety policies and applicable CDC, OSHA, state, and local requirements
