Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Oracle DBA to monitor, manage, and optimize Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. The role involves patching, upgrades, migrations, and collaboration with development teams to improve application performance.

You will monitor databases with Oracle Enterprise Manager, participate in on-call incident responses, and leverage AI tools for monitoring. A 2+ year production DBA background and a Bachelor’s degree are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Production Oracle DBA.
• Experience with Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c) administration, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Johnson Controls is seeking an Oracle DBA to monitor, manage, administer, and optimize Oracle databases. In this role, you will ensure high availability, security, and performance of Oracle database systems and applications. As part of the team, you will be responsible for managing the infrastructure supporting Oracle databases and applications, handling database migrations, patches, and upgrades, and ensuring system reliability and uptime.

How you will do it

What you will need Required

• 2+ years of experience as an Production Oracle DBA.

Bachelor’s degree.

Experience with Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c) administration, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.

Preferred

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or higher certification.

Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms for database and application hosting.

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in Oracle environments.

HIRING SALARY RANGE : $70,000-85,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
