Job summary

LPL Financial Holdings Inc. is seeking an Associate Client Compensation Consultant to support the processing of advisor commissions and related payouts.

The role develops SME expertise in payout rules, products, sponsors, and billing while coordinating with fund companies to resolve complex commission issues and ensure timely payments. The position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, attention to detail, and process improvement to enhance advisor experiences and optimize payout workflows

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, 3+ years of operations experience in financial services.
  • MS Office with advanced Excel: formulas, macros, Pivot tables.
  • Knowledge of Oracle (ComReg), BETA, Tumbleweed, Salesforce preferred.
  • Core competencies: customer-centric, strong work ethic.
  • FINRA SIE certification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma process improvement knowledge preferred.
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail with problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Self-motivation, adaptability, and responsiveness to coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in Client Compensation Operations processing and procedures.
  • Serve as dedicated liaison, owning Client Compensation escalations.
  • Process transactions with precision to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Own and supervise firm-wide, multi-department projects to enhance workflows for the department.
  • Proactively review audit controls to mitigate risk and increase transparency with audit partners.
  • Assist with large-scale projects and transformation efforts.
  • Plan initiatives that enhance the advisor experience and positively impact LPL.

As an Associate Client Compensation Consultant within our Client Compensation Processing Operations team, you will play a critical role in delivering expert solutions to middle and back-office operational inquiries and expediting advisor commission payments. You will have the opportunity to become a subject matter expert (SME) in the set-up of payout rules, products and sponsors, billing of fees and expenses, research and payout of advisor compensation, supporting financial advisors and ensuring accurate and timely payments. In this role, you will be responsible for activities related to the management and administration of financial advisors' commissions payments which will include working with internal stakeholders and fund companies to resolve complex commission problems and processing commission payments. Being flexible and adaptable to competing priorities will be key success factors for this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop expertise in Client Compensation Operations processing and procedures
  • Serve as dedicated liaison, taking ownership of Client Compensation escalations
  • Process transactions with precision and accuracy, ensuring accurate and timely payments flow to financial advisors and their firms
  • Own and supervise firm-wide, multi-department projects to build or enhance experience workflows related to the department
  • Proactively review audit controls to mitigate risk, remove redundant requirements, and increase transparency with audit partners
  • Proactively assist with large-scale projects and transformation efforts
  • Plan and champion initiatives that enhance the advisor experience and positively impact the broader LPL organization

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree, 3+ years of experience in operations roles within the financial services industry
  • MS Office, with advanced Excel skills including formulas, macros and Pivot tables
  • Knowledge of Oracle (ComReg) functionality, BETA, Tumbleweed, and Salesforce preferred
  • Core Competencies: Customer-centric focus with a strong work ethic
  • FINRA Securities Industries Essentials (SIE) Certification (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of process improvement methodology (Lean, Agile, Six Sigma) preferred
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Attention to detail with a problem-solving and process improvement mindset
  • Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Self-motivation, adaptability, and responsiveness to coaching and training

Pay Range: $21.00-$34.96/hour Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
