Job summary

William & Mary’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics seeks an Associate Athletic Director of Compliance & Administration to lead the athletics compliance program under NCAA, Patriot League, and CAA rules. The role includes policy development, NIL/CAPS oversight, and liaison with Admissions and Financial Aid to monitor eligibility.

The position requires a master’s degree with substantial compliance experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a proven track record in policy

Qualifications

• Master's degree plus significant experience in athletic compliance or policy development.
• Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and ability to interpret rules.
• Excellent oral and written communication and public speaking skills.
• Demonstrates high level analytical skills and applies rules accurately.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the athletics compliance program across NCAA, conference, and institutional rules.
• Coordinate continuing eligibility processes and approvals with Registrar and Academic Support Services.
• Lead education programs on NCAA regulations for staff and coaches.
• Supervise compliance staff and manage department operations.
