Job summary

Lovett Industrial is seeking an Associate to join the growing Northeast real estate team. The role focuses on sourcing, evaluating and executing industrial development and acquisition opportunities with ownership and deal exposure.

You will perform financial modeling, analyze markets, support capital transactions, and coordinate with brokers, lenders, and internal stakeholders across the Northeast markets. The position offers ownership of deals and opportunities to shape growth across the region.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in real estate finance, acquisitions, development, and/or underwriting.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced financial modeling and valuation (ARGUS and Excel) for acquisitions and development.
  • Develop project-/market-level assumptions and align with market conditions.
  • Support capital transactions across acquisitions, partnerships, financings, development programs, and exits.
  • Interface with designers, contractors, brokers, lenders, accounting, legal counsel, and market contacts.
  • Build a network with brokers, landowners, and other real estate professionals in active markets.
  • Conduct independent market research and report developments to the team.

This is a rare opportunity to join Lovett Industrial’s growing Northeast region. With active projects already underway and a fast-expanding footprint across the Northeast, our team is looking to build a team focused on sourcing, evaluating and executing on industrial development and acquisition opportunities. We are looking for a sharp, driven Associate who wants real ownership, real deal exposure, and a front-row seat to shaping how and where we grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced financial modeling and valuation analysis (ARGUS and Excel) for potential acquisitions and ground-up development opportunities across the Northeast.
  • Develop project-level and market-level assumptions and incorporate them into the models; work closely with the development team to ensure assumptions reflect real, on-the-ground market conditions.
  • Support the analysis, documentation, and execution of capital transactions — including acquisitions, partnerships, financings, development programs, and ultimately exit opportunities.
  • Interface with internal and external parties such as design consultants, contractors, leasing/sales brokers, operating partners, lenders, accounting teams, legal counsel, and market contacts.
  • Build a strong network with brokers, landowners, and other real estate professionals across our active markets.
  • Conduct independent research and regularly communicate with brokerage firms and research outlets to monitor market trends, identify new opportunities, and report relevant developments to the team.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Proven experience with Excel-based financial modeling and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience and proficiency with ARGUS Enterprise.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, interpret, and create real estate documents including, but not limited to, LOIs, RFPs, property offering memorandums, market reports, and tenant leases.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, manage multiple priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to streamline complex analysis into clear, presentable messages.
  • Proven organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as within a close-knit team.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed across our Northeast markets.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • 3–5 years of relevant real estate finance, acquisitions, development, and/or underwriting experience.
