Job description

GLC Executive is actively engaged on a search for a Real Estate Associate to join a growing privately owned real estate development and investment platform focused on development, acquisitions, and real estate lending.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytically driven real estate professional to gain broad exposure to the full investment and development lifecycle, working closely with senior leadership on acquisitions, underwriting, development, financing, and project execution.

The Opportunity

The Associate will play an important role in evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting projects from initial sourcing through acquisition, development, construction, and stabilization.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment, can move comfortably between financial analysis and real estate execution, and wants meaningful exposure to senior decision-makers and a growing pipeline of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source, track, and evaluate new acquisition and development opportunities.
  • Conduct market research, site analysis, competitive analysis, and investment underwriting.
  • Build and maintain financial models, including cash flow projections, development budgets, and investment return analyses.
  • Prepare investment memos, presentations, and materials for senior leadership.
  • Assist with due diligence, acquisitions, dispositions, and other real estate transactions.
  • Review and coordinate transaction documentation, including purchase and sale agreements and related materials.
  • Work with attorneys, lenders, brokers, consultants, municipalities, and other third-party partners.
  • Support entitlement and development activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with project management, construction coordination, budgets, schedules, and project reporting.
  • Monitor and maintain the firm's acquisition and development pipeline.
  • Support the firm's growing real estate lending platform as needed.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant real estate experience in acquisitions, development, investment banking, private equity, lending, brokerage, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals and investment analysis.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, including cash flow and return analysis.
  • Experience evaluating real estate investments and interpreting market data.
  • Understanding of real estate transactions, due diligence, development, and project financing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, on-site environment.
What Makes This Opportunity Different

This is not a narrow analyst role. The Associate will have exposure to acquisitions, development, construction, financing, and lending, providing an opportunity to develop a well-rounded commercial real estate skill set.

The firm has a substantial track record of completed development and a significant active pipeline, offering the opportunity to work on multiple projects and transactions while learning directly from experienced real estate professionals.
