Genworth Financial, Inc. seeks an Associate Accountant to support withholding tax filings and accounting processes for the USLI Closed Block team. The role is based in Virginia with a hybrid schedule of in-office days and remote work. Core hours roughly 9am–5pm EST on in-office days.

You will handle monthly close activities, prepare tax filings, and assist with audits and special projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent accounting experience.
• Project management and process improvement experience from a functional perspective.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Aufgaben

• Prepare State and Federal tax filings (monthly, quarterly, annually).
• Monitor and reconcile Federal and State withholding payments.
• Work with agencies to resolve tax disputes or discrepancies.
• Automate and maintain account reconciliations in CERT.
• Perform quarterly account reconciliation preparation and review.
• Complete monthly close processes including journal entries, analyses, and reconciliations.
• Lead process-improvement initiatives and coordinate teams.
