Position Summary
Our client in the commercial insurance space is looking for an Associate Account Manager that supports the Account Manager and Agent in servicing and managing a book of business. This role is responsible for policy servicing, endorsements, certificates of insurance, billing support, renewals, audits, and day-to-day client communication. The Associate Account Manager ensures accuracy, timeliness, and high-quality service while identifying additional insurance needs and communicating them to the Account Manager or Agent.
- Assist Account Manager and Agent with servicing and managing an assigned book of business
- Communicate with insureds regarding policy requests, changes, and general service needs, while identifying additional coverage opportunities
- Maintain accurate client and policy information in AMS
- Handle Certificates of Insurance (COIs), policy checking, policy delivery, BOR letters, X-Mods, IRFs, and Bind Desk coordination
- Process endorsements and work with Account Manager or Agent to explain changes to insureds
- Manage billing support including invoicing, billing inquiries, late payment follow-up, premium financing, and Notices of Cancellation per agency protocol
- Support audits and inspections by sending packets, collecting payments, reviewing discrepancies, and coordinating corrections
- Request loss runs and provide to Account Manager or Agent
- Assist with quoting, marketing, proposal preparation, and renewal processing, including sending and tracking renewal questionnaires
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in Commercial Lines Insurance
- Knowledge of policies, endorsements, certificates, and billing processes
- Experience with agency management systems and carrier portals
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in AMS tools
