Job description

Electric Era was founded to accelerate a dynamic, electrified economy by solving the biggest bottleneck of our time: our 20th century grid infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in our mission to electrify transportation with ubiquitous, affordable, and reliable EV fast charging infrastructure. Transitioning the global car refill supply chain to electricity will take decades of focused and intense work to solve the fundamental engineering challenges required to generate, store, transmit, and distribute electricity for a global fleet of electric cars. Electric Era is actively deploying the technologies that make it possible to rapidly transition our car energy infrastructure to electricity, solving one of humanity's greatest challenges.

About the Role

Electric Era is seeking a talented and ambitious sales professional who can create and capture demand across enterprise retail accounts. In this role, you will own account research, outbound campaigns, and customer discovery, then partner closely with account executives to ensure a seamless handoff to take through the rest of the sales cycle. You will act as the first face of Electric Era, accelerating enterprise retail customer acquisition while ensuring EV drivers have the best experience at the most convenient, reliable, and retail-forward charging stations.

This role is onsite at our headquarters in Seattle, WA.

Core Responsibilities
  • Account Strategy: Collaborate with account executives to develop and execute account strategies for a select group of prioritized enterprise retail accounts. Build account plans, sequence outreach to maximize coverage of high-value logos, and strategically map capabilities to meet account-specific business requirements and objectives.
  • Account Research: Stay abreast of our target market and target accounts, noting and synthesizing new company announcements and trends that can indicate a relevant buying motion change.
  • Sales Outreach Campaigns: Develop and execute outbound campaigns across email, phone, and LinkedIn. Leverage account and contact enrichment tools to build out accounts, write and optimize sequences, and book meetings.
  • First Call Discovery: Be the first impression and first contact for target accounts, performing initial discovery and qualification before handing off qualified buyers to account executives.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with marketing on new messaging, account-based marketing collateral, and multi-channel demand generation campaigns.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of B2B or enterprise sales development experience
  • Bonus: A background in enterprise B2B sales within the retail sector (e.g., convenience, fuel, grocery, or big-box retail), EV charging, or climate or energy technology
  • Outbound Expertise: Proven outbound sales development experience with a track record of successfully creating and nurturing high quality opportunities.
  • Elite Organization: Highly organized with the capacity to manage a territory of ~100 target accounts in various stages of the buyer journey without missing a beat.
  • Autonomy & Drive: A self-motivated, "high-motor" approach to execution and quota attainment. You must be outspoken about what is needed to generate new meetings and comfortable working independently.
  • Business Savvy: Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to communicate how Electric Era’s charging solutions integrate into and elevate their broader business goals and strategic priorities.
  • Communication Skills: An active listener, conscious conversationalist, and persuasive communicator. Must be comfortable pitching and adapting your message for all types of enterprise stakeholders, including C-suite executives, procurement leaders, and operations managers.
  • Travel & Logistics: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet the Company's motor vehicle eligibility requirements. This role may be required to travel up to 5%.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary Range: $80,000-100,000
  • Additional Compensation: This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation, commission, equity awards, or other compensation programs, subject to applicable plan terms.
  • Benefits: Electric Era offers a comprehensive benefits package, which may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, paid time off, paid holidays, parental leave, retirement benefits, and other company-sponsored programs, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.
