Job Description

Who You'll Work With

As a team member of the Arista Sales team, you are the face of Arista to our customers; their internal champion for the problems they need to solve. You will align Arista’s technical resources to achieve your customer’s business outcomes. You will partner with some of the most skilled Customer Engineers in the industry, as well as our Professional Services and Executive teams, to help them understand how to execute on your customer’s behalf. Our sales teams foster a culture of team success, where you’ll collaborate and be supported by like-minded sales professionals. This role typically reports to a Regional Sales Manager or Area VP of Sales.

What You'll Do

We currently have an opening for a Sales Associate Account Manager to join our growing Sales organization in the Boston metro area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in pursuing a career in sales.

In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Sales Leadership team and Senior Account Managers in New England to perform internal sales support functions, including new sales pipeline development, lead generation, field marketing activities, and sales operations support for Field Account Managers in the region.

Arista appeals strongly to engineering-centric organizations, so a strong technical acumen and a track record of selling data center networking solutions are highly valuable.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct lead generation calls with key customer influencers and present the Arista value proposition to generate new meetings for Field Account Managers.
  • Generate new opportunities for Arista's Software-Driven Data Center and Campus switching platforms, as well as our Cloud-based Wireless Wi-Fi solutions, DANZ Fabric Monitoring, and Zero Trust security products.
  • Drive new attendees to marketing events.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating quarterly field marketing events and tracking attendance metrics.
  • Provide Sales operations support for Field Account Managers, including sales quote assistance, order submissions, and billing issue resolution.
  • Attend sales training and shadow Senior Account Managers for career progression to a Field Territory Account Manager position.
  • Stay updated on technology partner solutions, competing solutions, and competitor strategies.

The Team

This position typically reports to a Regional Sales Director or Regional VP of Sales. You will be part of a team that includes the best field engineers in the cloud networking industry, with support from Arista TAC, proof-of-concept resources, and our executive team.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements

  • BS/BA/BBA degree or equivalent, with 2-3 years of technology sales experience.
  • Previous experience in Sales, Business Development, Virtual Sales, Sales Operations, or as a Sales Associate.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Driven with the initiative to undertake tasks proactively.
  • Strong technical interest and acumen in areas such as Cloud, Networking, Virtualization, Network Security, Compute, SaaS/IaaS, Wireless (Wi-Fi), and Network Monitoring.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
