Associate Account Executive, Employee Benefits

Lockton Dunning Benefits is seeking an Associate Account Executive responsible for applying industry knowledge to provide technical and operational support to clients and vendors. The role involves developing and maintaining positive relationships to deliver excellent customer service, meeting or exceeding industry standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Participate in strategic planning and consulting for plan strategy
  2. Collaborate with clients on funding solutions, long-term objectives, and risk tolerance
  3. Negotiate quotes with carriers and recommend plan designs for smaller accounts
  4. Handle client issues and questions under team lead’s guidance
  5. Participate in renewals and open enrollment meetings, presenting marketing materials and benefit changes
  6. Assist with RFP production, vendor response coordination, and client report preparation
  7. Facilitate quotes, amendments, and reinstatements as needed
  8. Interpret client coverages, identify gaps, and recommend changes
  9. Develop financial models and reports, interpreting implications of recommendations
  10. Assist in developing implementation plans and coordinate OE meetings
  11. Create communications with Marketing, such as OE guides and presentations
  12. Review agreements and documents collaboratively
  13. Conduct industry surveys as requested
  14. Participate in client meetings discussing claims, utilization, and strategy
  15. Research industry trends and new products through vendor meetings
  16. Maintain knowledge of regulations and compliance, partnering with legal counsel
  17. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a business-related field
  2. At least 3 years in the insurance industry, specifically employee benefits
  3. Strong knowledge of financial arrangements and products (fully-insured, self-insured, etc.)
  4. Experience with open enrollment meetings
  5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  6. Excellent organizational and communication skills
