Join us at Archipelago and be part of a team dedicated to enabling commercial property and casualty insurance brokers with AI agents. We’re seeking individuals with a passion for innovation, a commitment to excellence, and a drive to further elevate and empower our customers.

If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact and be part of a dynamic, forward‑thinking company, we invite you to explore our job opportunities and join us on our journey to keep data accurate and workflows seamless.

NOTE: Candidates to be located in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA metro area only, as we are looking to build co‑located clusters of employees that can meet in an office for collaboration and design.

Who you are:

Archipelago is seeking an Associate Account Executive to join our growing go‑to‑market and sales organization – a team that is collaborative, transparent, and supportive both in person and remotely.

As an Associate Account Executive, you will help preserve and expand our customer base by supporting our sales leadership through reporting, forecasting, and data analysis. You’ll work alongside experienced sales professionals to identify growth opportunities and help turn them into profitable, long‑term customer relationships built on trust and mutual satisfaction. The ideal candidate has a background in risk management, a talent for customer service, and the ability to balance a customer‑first mindset with a results‑driven approach.

You will be responsible for assisting sales leadership with building pipeline, acquiring new logos, and the associated ARR attributed to those logos. Using your analytical skills, you will assess customer data to surface trends, flag risks, and identify expansion opportunities within the existing customer base. You will also help nurture and maintain strong relationships with current customers, ensuring their satisfaction and long‑term retention.

To be successful you’ll work cross‑functionally with marketing, business development, sales engineering, and sales development reps to support the end‑to‑end sales process. You will prepare polished presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders, clearly conveying insights and recommendations. Your understanding of the risk management landscape will be essential in helping position Archipelago’s solutions effectively with companies that own and/or occupy over $8B of commercial property, helping them become valued Archipelago customers by transforming the way they manage, understand, and mitigate their property data and risks.

You will assess pain points and value alignment with our solution, develop a comprehensive understanding of each prospect, coordinate the involvement of sales engineering, and help drive the contracting process to its completion and provide feedback internally on our learnings in the market.

This includes all typical activities involved in building relationships, conducting research, and supporting the end‑to‑end sales process.

Engaging prospects will be done through a combination of video conference calls and in person meetings where travel will be required. You will use your best judgment to determine the most effective methods and timing to move opportunities to completion.

Responsibilities
  • Support and help drive sales goals by assisting in prospecting, qualifying, and managing new business opportunities, focusing on building pipeline within key insurance broker and commercial property accounts.
  • Prepare and develop data analysis and presentations for prospect meetings.
  • Conduct demonstrations and training of the Archipelago platform to show value proposition.
  • Partner with sales leadership to run discovery conversations, support product demonstrations, and assist in coordinating structured pilots with clear success criteria and timelines.
  • Prepare Customer Order Forms and assist in managing the contracting process in collaboration with Finance, Legal, and Security teams.
  • Partner closely with commercial account managers on their account prioritization, ensuring your efforts maximize revenue opportunities within accounts.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration – partner with Marketing/BDR on targeted campaigns; work with Product and Customer Success to translate pilot feedback into wins and expansions.
  • Operational excellence – maintain complete, accurate CRM hygiene (activities, contacts, stages, next steps); report on KPIs and continuously refine the sales process.
Qualifications
  • 1–4 years of experience in the Property Insurance industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and problem‑solve in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and sharp attention to detail.
  • Deep curiosity for product knowledge, with a passion for translating that understanding into customer solutions.
  • High‑energy self‑starter who takes initiative, brings fresh ideas, and operates with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong work ethic with a resourceful, ownership‑oriented mindset – willing to go the extra mile.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a pod team structure and understands that collective effort drives sales success.
  • Willingness to travel domestically.
  • Preferred locations: New York or San Francisco.
Benefits
  • Company Equity Program
  • Medical, dental, vision and life insurance
  • Flexible Time Off
  • Mental Health programs
