Job summary

GE Vernova in Stamford, Connecticut invites MBA candidates to join our Financial Services team, focusing on power project investments. You will perform due diligence, build financial models, and present analyses to senior leadership to mitigate risks.

Ideal applicants have 2+ years pre-MBA experience in project finance or related fields, strong modeling and communication skills, and eligibility to work in the United States. Relocation support offered and discretionary annual bonus.

  • Enrolled in an MBA program graduating in 2027.
  • At least two years of pre-MBA progressive professional experience in project finance / infrastructure investing, or exposure to large commercial transactions in related fields such as accounting, commodities, corporate finance/M&A, or strategic management consulting.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and business and financial analysis skills.
  • Team or small group leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Execute due diligence and underwriting of power project investments, including review of legal documentation and consultant reports such as market studies and independent engineer reports.
  • Prepare detailed financial models and developing and running sensitivity analyses on market, technical, financing, taxation, and other drivers.
  • Present and defend analyses and approval requests to senior leadership with a clear and consistent approach to mitigate project risks.
  • Protect and realize the value of portfolio investments through monitoring key performance indicators, evaluating project modifications/restructurings, and executing asset sales.
  • Train and mentor junior investment professionals on a deal-by-deal basis.
  • Support GE Vernova strategic initiatives, special projects, and new business development opportunities

What you’ll do (Job Responsibilities)

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States (e.g., U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder)

  • Quantitative or finance academic background with a GPA of 3.5 or above (out of a 4.0 scale).

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $103,600.00 and $172,600.00.

The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
