Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree such as MBA, PharmD, PhD, MSN, or MS preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in pharma/biotech/healthcare.
• At least 3–5 years in Thought Leader Liaison, Product Marketing, Specialty Sales, Medical Affairs leadership, or Commercial field leadership.
• Experience in rare disease, specialty pharmaceuticals, and/or neurology.
• Strategic thinking with executive-level relationship frameworks.
• Strong understanding of commercial compliance and promotional regulations.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong project management, organization, prioritization, and execution capabilities; ability to translate field insights into strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate across Commercial, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and other cross-functional teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel ~60–70% for congresses and stakeholder engagement.
• Must reside in the Western U.S. region covered by the role and work remotely with quarterly Boston office visits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute engagement strategies for national, regional, and emerging thought leaders in rare neurological diseases.
• Build long-term relationships with neurologists, neuromuscular specialists, rehabilitation physicians, genetic specialists, and advocacy leaders.
• Identify influential experts and centers of excellence to shape the treatment landscape.
• Maintain understanding of thought leaders' clinical interests, research, influence networks, and educational needs.
• Capture and communicate field insights to inform brand strategy, messaging, and launch planning.
• Identify trends in diagnosis, treatment patterns, and unmet needs within the rare-disease community.
• Translate customer insights into actionable recommendations for commercial leadership.
• Lead planning and execution of advisory boards with recruitment, objectives, guides, and insight communication.
• Partner with Marketing and Medical Affairs to align advisory activities with requirements.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a speaker bureau; evaluate speaker effectiveness with external vendors.
• Develop engagement strategies for neurology congresses and coordinate thought leader meetings around scientific events.
• Capture competitive intelligence and support executive engagement with key experts.
• Support launch readiness by identifying educational gaps and shaping peer-to-peer strategies.
