Job summary

State of Oklahoma seeks an Assistive Technology Trainer to provide training and instruction in assistive technology for blind and visually impaired adults and transition age clients in Oklahoma City. The role includes maintaining AT Lab equipment, updating software, managing inventories, recording attendance and progress, and preparing reports for the Programs Manager.

It may be filled at Level I or II based on qualifications. Travel for job-related duties is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of assistive technology devices, software programs, and computer operations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to develop training techniques and supervise students.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and instruction on technology devices and software to clients in one-on-one or lab settings.
• Maintain AT Lab equipment and perform software updates.
• Maintain inventory of lab equipment.
• Assess participant achievement and refer to additional resources as needed.
• Maintain attendance and progress records and prepare regular reports.
