Spring Dell Center, Inc. in La Plata, MD is seeking an Assistive Technology Specialist to coordinate needs assessments, program materials, and adaptive devices for clients. You'll work with Directors, Coordinators, and contractors to ensure long-term success of the AT program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years working with individuals with disabilities.
• Knowledge and compliance with the ADA and accessibility laws/regulations.
• Experience with accessibility testing and technology assessments.
• Experience using common assistive technologies including screen readers, magnifiers, and voice recognition products.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track informal reviews and formal assessments as part of the Person-Centered Planning process.
• Coordinate equipment fittings and follow-up appointments with nursing staff.
• Coordinate purchases as recommended through internal or external assessments.
• Maintain technology inventories and ensure devices and software are updated and repaired.
• Research and evaluate new technology solutions to support people with disabilities.
