Job summary

State of South Carolina’s SC Commission for the Blind seeks a Rehabilitation Technology Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Rehabilitation Technology team, manage referrals, schedule assessments, and coordinate device delivery to ensure timely services for SCCB consumers.

Responsibilities include monitoring referrals, scheduling assessments, documenting actions in the case management system, and collaborating with Consumer Services and Quality Assurance to ensure proper

Qualifications

• High school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
• Knowledge of assistive technology for individuals who are blind or have low vision and case management experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor referrals for assistive technology and low vision assessments.
• Coordinate with Rehabilitation Technology staff to schedule assessments for consumers in a timely manner.
• Utilize the case management system to document actions and efforts.
• Collaborate with Consumer Services staff as needed to ensure timely assessments are provided and all required documentation is received.
• Track status of assessment recommendations and timely device purchases, maintain a tracking system until device delivery occurs.
• Coordinate delivery and training of devices.
• Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Consumer Services, assist with policy and procedure development for the unit.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to develop reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.
