Job summary

Morningside Elite Management is seeking a Maintenance Assistant / Porter in Waldorf, MD for a full-time M-F 9A-5P shift. The role focuses on maintenance of the building and grounds, responding to resident work orders, and ensuring safety and quality of service within an assisted living community.

Responsibilities include basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs, with attention to safety protocols and professional interaction with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete resident work orders, ensuring quality of service.
• Prepare apartments for move-in as assigned.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and equipment repair.
• Handle snow removal and exterior landscaping maintenance.
• Familiarize with property emergency and safety plans; respond to emergencies.
• Maintain cleanliness of offices, shops, and storage areas; adhere to company standards.
• Attend required training and staff meetings; provide safe working environment.
