Job summary

MBK Senior Living in Modesto, CA is seeking an Assisted Living Director to lead a skilled care team delivering respectful, high-quality care for residents. The role includes interviewing, hiring, coaching, and ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations while upholding MBK’s values.

The ALD will oversee budgets, staffing, training, and collaboration with departments to enhance residents’ quality of life.

Qualifications

• AA or certificate in gerontology, social services, business administration, or similar field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Services, Gerontology, Social Work, Nursing, Recreational Therapy, or Management preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
• Nurse’s Aide or similar certification if required by State regulations.
• 1+ years of supervisory management experience in a similar setting.
• Experience with dementia care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train, set goals and timelines, monitor and evaluate performance, and provide ongoing coaching for Caregivers.
• Ensure ongoing training for community team members per MBK policies and MBK policy compliance.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and daily assignments to meet resident needs.
• Manage the annual budget, focusing on meeting monthly financial goals and controlling labor costs.
• Coordinate family and community education programs, outreach events, and collaboration with other departments.
• Maintain a safe environment following safety standards, regulations, and MBK policies.
