Job summary

The Jasper of Mansfield, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to join our dining team. Plans, prepares, and serves nutritious meals for residents, supports the Culinary Services Director, and maintains high standards of service, sanitation, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

You will plan, prepare, and serve meals for assigned shifts, uphold safety and sanitation standards, assist the Culinary Services Director, manage leftover foods properly, and help

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience in volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to read recipes, work in a team, flex shifts, multi-task, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves nutritious meals in a timely, sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an organized Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains dining service standards for residents, including meal service, customer service, and cleanliness of dining room and kitchen.
• Cleans after preparation and service; maintains work area, pots, and equipment.
• Ensures leftovers are covered, labeled, dated, and stored properly.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
