Ritchie Bros. is seeking an Assistant Yard Manager to support the Yard Manager in keeping the main auction site and off-site locations running smoothly and safely. You will coordinate site prep, manage yard layout and ensure compliance with safety standards across multiple locations.

The role requires strong leadership, mechanical aptitude, and experience with equipment and procurement, along with a focus on efficiency and customer service in a dynamic auction environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site preparation, auction ramp and loading ramp.
• Oversee yard layout and equipment lineup.
• Ensure sale site is safe per RB standards.
• Ensure environmental regulatory compliance.
• Plan refurbishing schedules and budgets; manage PO and cost sheets.
• Liaise with subcontractors.
• Ensure equipment is sale-ready.
• Arrange directional, parking and yard signage.
• Ensure proper attachment removal.
• Ensure equipment fueling and fluids.
• Organize yard supplies per checklist.
• Supervise operators and yard staff; schedule casual staff.
• Ensure HSE compliance with policies and laws.
• Perform other duties as required.
